Hi!!
We have recently attended a session with mandy on wednesday 14/04/10 to carry on with our Opus. We started creating our activities.
We manged to complete our wordsearch, drag and drop, and true or false activities. We looked at different areas of healthy living, such as, nutrition, exercising, and general healthy living. We were happy with our outcomes!!!
Today was our last session on our Opus (due date) We needed to complete one more activity to make sure we had enough information and activities to experiment with. We also needed to create our front cover and the cover for the disc.
We made an early start and manged to add a 'Hotspot' activity. We used this to display factual info about foods.
We managed to create our covers for the disc and front cover which was successful!!!
We are happy with our outcome and hope our audience enjoys!!!!

Hia!!
During this session me and helen continued with our Opus Film.
We experimented with adding sound to our slides.
We used the software called Audacity to add sound in to our Opus. We used both our voices to experiment and added voice overs to different areas.
We are happy with this and next week we hope to start creating our activities.

Hi guys!!
Me and Helen carried on with our Opus film. We experimented with the software by playing around with the activities that we can produce. We looked at producing a wordsearch and the drag and drop activity.
We found it difficultbut with practice i think it will become easier.
We gathered some information for our topics, such as, healthy eating, exercise, lifestyle, and why stay healthy. We were glad we have made a start on our Opus.
Next session we aim to begin developing our activities on healthy eating.

Hi!!!!!
I have partnered up with Miss Helen Boat to create an Opus Film.
It involves using the Opus software. We began by having a play around with it today and found the software quite effective.
We have decided to look at healthy living as our topic, and will produce some activities that will be based for keystage 2.
We have choosen 4 areas to study, Food, lifestyle, exercise and Why its important to keep healthy.
We have researched some resources that are ready to use in the Opus software and on the internet.
We hope to start creating our activities next session! :-)

Hey guys!!!!
At last we have completed our short stop animation film :)
Me and my partner Cathy added music to our film for a better viewing experinece and it was successful!!
We are thoroughly happy with the outcome!
If we had more time we would have extended it and added more characters and affects!
We enjoyed workin together and thought we made a great team!

Hi peeps!!!
We are now 4/2/2010!
Me and my partner cathy have come in to our D&T class during our reading week to continue with out Short stop motion animation project.
We have started filming our clay characters using the digitial blue camera software.
We found it difficult at first as they clay characters were hard to manipulate for each scene.
However, we managed to complete the secnes that we needed and were really pleased with the outcome!
Next week we aim to include appropriate music in to the different scenes. For e.g. when the baby is put in his cot, we would like to include a lullaby.
We will work at this next session! Will keep you posted of our progress!

Hello!!
We have had our last but one session for D&T.
To recap me and my partner cathy are in the middle of creating our short stop motion film.
We changed our mind about our topic. We decided to look at smoking and the risks involved.
We re did our story board by drawing out each scene. We started with a family sitting on a sofa in their living room, the dad is smoking his ciggarette. (family consisting of mum,dad and baby) We then film the mum putting the baby to bed. The dad then falls asleep and the cigarette lights the sofa on fire! The end shows the living room in flames.... then a message saying..... "Put it out, Right Out!!!
We think this is a simple but powerful message!!!
We have made our models out of plastercene and the living room set out of cardboard and fabric. We both put in an equal effort and worked hard to produce our short film!
Next session we are going to start filming!! :-) Looking forward to it!! and will keep you updated!!!!
